As awesome as it is to see this again (and it is!), I think it's important to point out to the youngsters that this is NOT The Stooges. This band was Hunt and Tony Sales and Sonny Boy Williamson....Iggy's 'solo' band. And as great as they are/were, they still ain't The Stooges, kids...just sayin' ;-) Rock on!

eh, Some of Iggy's solo stuff I much prefer to anything by the Stooges (some of it, especially the later stuff, really not so much, though). Especially New Values and Soldier were, I think, his two most innovative albums. Post-Stooges Iggy just seemed to have alot more fun with it and more into the musical aspect, just really gettin' into the experimenting with different styles and really enjoyin' himself. Much better song-writing later on (end of/right after Stooges), if nothing else.

The two bands are just very different and its pointless to argue which was better anyway. I love New Values, Soldier and The Idiot too. But, the Stooges were a special band at a special time....good, bad or indifferent, Iggy has always been the real deal.
